5:45 PM: Selectboard Work Session

The Board reviewed a letter from a resident regarding payment of back taxes and requested that the Town Administrator write a letter outlining the Board’s response. The Board addressed a request by the Town Administrator regarding a separate case that includes significant back taxes.

The Selectboard took up a letter and Nodal Reference Map provided by the NH DOT for Highway Block Grant funding. The Board noted that the Nodal Reference Map had incomplete information on Driscoll Road and Sundine Farm Road.

Selectman Marshall provided a report on recent Selectmen’s Advisory Committee (SAC) meetings. SAC is a committee under the ConVal School District. Selectman Marshall outlined a request by the District to support an informational posting on individual town websites.

The Selectboard held a discussion on the Gravel Roads Plan for 2020. The Board agreed to request that gravel roads be posted for weight limits due to the unseasonably warm temperatures forecast for the coming week. The Selectboard requested that a column for “Access” be added to the priority spreadsheet for roads with a single point of access. The reason is to ensure that roads with only one outlet receive an appropriate level of prioritization. Selectwoman Day reported that the ConComm is willing to support a clean water initiative with respect to the Gravel Roads Plan and has agreed to attend a meeting when set by the Selectboard. Selectman Marshall stated that he saw that the State uses a wheeled excavator, similar to one available for rental from Balcom Brothers in Milford, for ditching. He wondered if the DPW could rent a similar one for use during the year.

Lastly, the Selectboard discussed the Meeting House sanctuary altar that is owned by the Greenfield Community Covenant Church. The Board requested that Reverend Dan Osgood be invited to the meeting on March 5th for further discussion. The Church owns the altar and is interested in moving it to their new church facility.

The Selectboard requested to meet with Todd Mason, DPW Road Manager on March 5th for a discussion on the Gravel Road Plan.

Adjournment

At 7:57 pm Selectman Marshall made a motion to adjourn the meeting; the motion was seconded by Selectwoman Day. The motion carried 3-0.
