Town of Greenfield

Planning Board

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

Notice is hereby given, in accordance with RSA 675:3, II and RSA 675:7, that the Greenfield Planning Board will hold a second Public Hearing at the Town Office on Monday, January 29, 2018 at 6:30 pm to consider the following changes to proposed amendments of the Greenfield Zoning Ordinance:

Amend the Sign Ordinance to include a statement of purpose for the regulation of permanent commercial signs, add a reference to Section IV.B, Professional Uses and Home Occupations, in the sign ordinance to differentiate sign restriction for such use in residences from other business signage, provide clarity in the number of signs permitted and method of illumination, and update a reference to NH statutes.

Retain current sign regulation for professional uses and home occupations in residential buildings to a maximum of 3 sq. ft. with no lighting of signs allowed. Add clarifying language for external modifications and visible displays in residences related to professional uses and home occupations.

After the Public Hearing, the Planning Board will vote to decide which amendments will be placed on the ballot for Town Meeting. A copy of the proposed Zoning Ordinance amendments is available for review at the Town Office during regular business hours. The amendments are also available on the town website via a link on the Planning Board page. Anyone needing assistance to attend the hearing should contact the Select Board Office one week before the hearing date.

Per order of the Greenfield Planning Board
