Meeting Minutes

Thursday, September 9th, 2021

 

Meeting was called to order at 5:35

Present: Dave Thimmel, Brian Mamzack, Catrina Mamzack, Sean Sylvester, Sarah Babb, Alyssum Proctor Russell, Kayla Kokal, Mary Ann Grant, Mary Ann Beard, Karen Morrison

The following items were discussed:

  1. Welcomed new members
    1. Each newest member spoke of their reason &  interest in joining the Oak Park Committee and future ideas.
  2. Quick recap of our mission of the committee and 2 upcoming events
  3. Oak Park Committee vs Parks & Recreation Department
  4. Oak Park Clean Up Day
    1. Flyers were handed out and will be hung around Oak Park and areas in town
    2. Food items and paper goods, Dave to reach out to Harvester Market for donations for beverages
    3. Corn hole and other outdoor games members can bring for use
    4. Dave to create Work Day “to do” list of areas for clean up
  5. Pumpkin Fest / Trunk or Treat
    1. Craft table for kids
    2. Pumpkin donations
  6. Helping/Contributing to Fire & Ice Festival in December(Fire Dept)
    1. Dave to reach out to Rick McQuade
  7. Creating and maintaining Oak Park Committee social media accounts

Meeting adjourned by Chair at 6:35

Next OPC meeting will be Thursday, September 16th at Oak Park, 5:30 pm.
