A few of the purchased cemetery lots were found to be missing corner stones. The board will speak to the Town Clerk to see if they can get more information about the owners of the lots from the deed records.

Some of the trees that have been planted on the lot areas designated for trees have not survived, RCilley will reach out to our town landscaper JGagnon to discuss the planting of 4 new trees.

The board discussed a few areas of the Greenvale Cemetery that are in need of attention:

  • Aged condition and difficult access to the pump house
  • A designated area of the cemetery to dump the brush and clippings
  • More definitive driveway areas between the rows, and row markers on the main driveways
  • A need for a small storage shed at the cemetery
  • Cutting back some of the overgrown brush along the back edge
  • Stone wall has many cracks and loose stones

The board will reach out to DPW Director JMorris to see if he can help move some of the brush dumping piles to a single designated area.

The board looked at the stone wall and discussed what areas were most in need of immediate repair. They would like to start repair at the west end wall and work their way approximately 150 feet towards the first gate.

CMamczak will contact local masonry companies to obtain bids for stone wall repair; they would like to have the bids ready by July 1, 2020.
