Selectmen’s Meeting Minutes

Call to order: 5:30 pm by Chairwoman Day
Chairwoman Day opened the meeting to explain the purpose of the meeting tonight is to alert residents that there will be a special town meeting on Saturday, December 12, 2009 at 9:00 am. The meeting will be held in the meeting room of the Town Office.
The purpose of the Special town meeting are for the following two reasons:
#1. To adopt RSA 41:14-a, authorizing the Board of Selectmen to acquire or sell land, buildings or both.
#2. To allow the residents to vote to authorize the Selectmen to sell certain parcels of land with the buildings thereon, located at 4 Slip Road and 771 Forest Road. These properties were conveyed to the town on September 24, 2009, by a quitclaim deed, in lieu of tax deeding.
There were a few residents in the audience who were allowed a chance for questions and answers.
Motion by Chairwoman Day to vote to hold a special town meeting on Saturday, December 12, 2009 at 9:00 am. The meeting is to be held at the Town Office building. The purpose of the meeting is to adopt the provisions of RSA 41:14-a, authorizing Selectmen the ability to acquire or sell land, buildings or both, providing the procedures of the RSA are followed, said authority will remain in effect until specifically rescinded by the town at any duly warned meeting and to further authorize the board to sell two certain parcels of land with the buildings thereon, located at 4 Slip Road and 771 Forest Road, further identified as Map V3 – Lots 6 & 6A.
Seconded by Selectman Adams.
No further discussion followed.
Voted: 3-0 in the affirmative.
With no further business the meeting adjourned at 6:15 pm. The next Selectboard meeting will be Thursday, December 3, 2009 at 6:00 pm.
