Selectmen’s Meeting Minutes
Thursday – July 7, 2005 – 5:45 pm

Present: Selectmen - Chairman, George Rainier; Selectman, William Brooks; Selectman, Conrad B. Dumas
Administrative Assistant, Deb Davidson taking minutes
Department Heads:
6:30 – Peter Hopkins – Code Officer did not have an appointment, however he did speak to some zoning enforcement issues.  Selectmen will support the enforcement of our zoning.
Appointments:

On – going matters:
Waste Water Project – Four fields have been installed, two of them are covered.  Nothing else to report.
Septic System Operational Guidelines – Selectmen would like to review this one more time with the changes that were previously incorporated into the guideline.
Other Business:
Minutes - Selectmen accept the minutes of June 23, 2005 Selectmen’s Meeting as written
Selectmen Approval –
·       A/P
·       Invoices
·       Intent to cut – Williams
·       Assessing correspondence – Kokal, Kaminieki, Chandler
Mail - Review misc. incoming mail –
·       Letter from NRRA complimenting Mr. Pelkey for doing a good job at our recycling center
Beach – Update – the beach at Sunset Lake was retested and did not have an unacceptable level of e-coli. No swimming signs have been removed.
Leaking Roof – Mike Borden met with the Administrative Assistant to take a look at the leakage in the Parks & Recreation office.  The Administrative Assistant has submitted a claim with the LGC, they will be in touch and report what, if any portion of the repairs can be paid for through our insurance.
Gun shooting –  A concerned resident asked about kids shooting on the “Savage” land, owned by the town – R5-18 – do they need permission to be there shooting?  Yes, this is town owned property and no one should be on the property shooting. Discussion followed.
        Decision: The police will be notified to patrol the area and report any findings

With no further business, meeting adjourned at  7:00 pm.  The Next scheduled Selectmen’s Meeting will be Thursday July 14, 2005 at 5:45 pm – Key Staff will be invited to this meeting.
