Oak Park Committee Meeting

Town offices, 7:30pm.
Present: John Hopkins-chair, David Corliss, Lisa Hall, & Brian Hall
First order of business was to bring New Committee members, Lisa and Brian up to speed with where the committees activities are currently, and historically. Lisa and Brian would like to get more involved in future Oak Park improvements, and activities.
Lisa is also interested in setting up a meeting for bringing in new members to the committee. This has been approved by the members present.
It’s hoped new faces will help encourage new ideas, and maybe more fundraising for the park.
Blue-B-Que:
Blue-B-Que for this year was discussed, most items are in place for the event. Bands and sound are hired, t-shirts are on order, chicken from Delays is ordered, flyers are being distributed, Crotched mt. rehab has been invited-residents with working staff are free admission.
John to contact the Siegers/Yankee Farmer for corn.
An inventory of supplies at the park will be done this week, to plan for what’s needed for bbcue.
Lisa Hall will check to see if we can borrow Woody Russells popcorn machine.
Lisa to bring face painting items: we will find volunteers that day to help.
Lisa also suggested the use of Crayons on the Art wall versus paint. We may try this, this year.
