The Town of Greenfield, New Hampshire
Energy Committee Minutes 05/06/09
Town Energy Committee
Minutes of meeting May 6, 2009
7:30 p.m. in Stephanson Library

Members present: Dan Wolaver, Roger Lessard

Dan and Roger met with Library Trustees (Mary Ann Grant, Eric Leonardi, Bob Marshall, Gail Smith) to talk about the insulation and heating of the Library.
  • Dan closed the propane fireplace flue to reduce heat loss next winter.  There was a small clamp holding it open.
  • Gail said that the propane fireplace was not used at all last winter.
  • The front door (facing Rt. 31) needs weather stripping.  But it’s almost never used and could simply be sealed in a way that it could be opened in an emergency.
  • The Trustees want to know by October what the insulation of the library will cost so they can include it in next year’s budget.  But the thermal imaging has to be done first.  The BOS has earmarked some of the Town Office Building Energy Efficiency Capital Reserve Fund to fund the thermal imaging study.  TEC will contact Great North Energy Services to see how soon the study could be done.
