Current Business
Budget - the budget was discussed and tallied by members.
Photography Contests - the response has been very low. It is doubtful we will do it again.
Eyes on Owls program wrap-up - it went very well. There was a picture in the Ledger-Transcript.
Recycling - they will be able to take CRTs by 7/1/2007. They can’t take plastic other than 1’s and 2’s because they can’t get a good price due to the low volume. Large items can be disposed of by getting a ticket at Town Hall - it just goes in the dumpster.
NHACC Meeting on November 4th - Karen, Roger and Neal can’t go. Laura wants to go. Janet is not sure, but will send around an e-mail to see who else wants to.
Programs - “Your Sense of Place” - Karen will supply more info on it. “Community Profile” - Janet has brought info about this Cooperative Extension program, we can revisit it. More animal programs: snakes, bears, wolves, mushrooms, turtles (David Carroll, Barry Wicklow), Amphibians (Tom Tyning).
Other ideas - Essay contest. Drawing contest (kids). Calendar 2008, using pictures by the kids. Involve the kids. Put the pictures up at the library and vote. Build a display and post conservation info on it. Have a theme for the contest - favorite things to do in winter in Greenfield, etc.
